| This vision picture depicts the respectful, caring, connected communities of Hastings, Campbellford and Warkworth. The Compass Training Centre (CTC) facilitated a year long project funded by the Campbellford Seymour Community Foundation. The People, Partnerships and Possibilities Network project, was designed to build collaboration between service clubs and social service agencies in the Municipality of Trent Hills in rural Northumberland. Compass Training facilitated numerous networking and training events. At one early stage in the project participants were asked to envision what they wanted their communities to be like in the future. The individual drawings were given to an illustrator, Trish York, to render a shared vision for the group. The final vision picture and shared values reflect a growing commitment within the network from all the groups to work together to make the communities better. |
People, Partnerships & Possibilities
The People, Partnerships and Possibilities network project 2008/2009 was funded by the Campbellford/Seymour Community Foundation. The network was designed to build trusted knowledge-sharing relationships between local service groups, not-for-profit and community organizations in Trent Hills. Through regular networking events the group gained knowledge about each other’s programs and services and built a shared understanding of what a vibrant Trent Hills can accomplish with a shared vision and collaboration.
The network events are held 2 or 3 times a year and are open to everyone. Meetings include networking, group presentations and skill building exercises.
Next Workshop: Watch for upcoming events!
