Trent Hills Playground and Fitness Park Project
Campbellford, Hastings & Warkworth
We have been granted a National Let Them Be Kids Helping Hands Award!!
What began as a community playground project has now
developed into the Trent Hills Playground and Fitness Park Project. The improvement plan includes 3 new playgrounds and 3 adult fitness parks, one to be built in each of the urban centres of Campbellford, Hastings and Warkworth, which will also serve the rural communities of Percy and Seymour.
Volunteers will come together to build the 6 structures on
Saturday September 4, 2010.
Volunteers will work together to build the 3 parks in the 3 communities in one day!!
We need your help!!
Sign up to volunteer, find out more and follow the progress at: www.trenthills.ltbk.ca
Don't miss out on being a part of this amazing project!
The award provides a 50/50 matching grant towards the purchase of playground and fitness park equipment. The goal is not only to enhance the lives of children by providing a safe and stimulating play area, but also to:
- create a social hub where all residents can connect,
- to foster pride and ownership within the community by working towards a common goal and legacy,
- to model active volunteerism, leadership and democracy to our children,
The desired outcome is a more tolerant, united, welcoming community, empowered to create positive change with an increased capacity and more enriched fabric.
